Welcome to God First

The whole world is searching for a missing piece. Every one of us is traversing this life seeking peace - or seeking the missing piece in ourselves. Some search their whole lives without ever naming it. The missing piece is God. You were made in God's image, and nothing else fits that space.

God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

And God does not welcome you alone. Christ loves His Church as His own body - His Bride - and we are her members. As St. Cyprian wrote seventeen centuries ago: "You cannot have God for your Father without the Church for your mother."

That is what this place is for:

  • The Bride - see her alive across every nation on earth: over a million congregations mapped so far, from the great cathedrals to the chapels of Antarctica.
  • The Sunday Map - find a church near you, and check in where you gather.

So put God first - in everything we say and do, and first on Sunday. Sunday is not the weekend: it is the first day of the week, a sacred day - a chance to give the first of everything to our Lord and Saviour Jesus, and let Him bless the whole week that flows from it.

And let us be the light of the world - lamps lit, oil ready, like the wise virgins awaiting the Bridegroom. Jesus Christ is coming soon.
